The Colorado Rockies wasted no time taking the lead in the Division Series, beating the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field by the score of 4-3. The win gives Colorado a 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series. Rockies right-hander Jackson Cox threw 5.1 innings of 4-hit ball.

Brenton Doyle, who finished 3rd in the NL in stolen bases with 35 last year, had a direct impact on the outcome. Doyle contributed a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put Colorado up, 3-0.

Doyle told a Colorado Citizen reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Chase Field in Phoenix.
