RoughRiders Move on to Round 2
The Frisco RoughRiders appear poised to make a serious run at the Round 2 after a convincing sweep over the Amarillo Sod Poodles in the Round 1.

It's now on to the Round 2 for Frisco, who won the final game 4-2 and took the series 3-0.

"Everyone's doing their part and things are falling into place," said Frisco right fielder Anthony Gutierrez, who was named series MVP. "It feels like a special year."

For the series, Gutierrez hit .545 with a .643 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 4 runs.

The Frisco RoughRiders don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Arkansas Travelers - Northwest Arkansas Naturals series. That series is tied at 1 game each. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
