Red-Hot Blue Jays Win Again
|
Toronto Blue Jays starter Carlos Rodriguez was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the New York Yankees, 4-2. Rodriguez got the win, improving to 5-11. He gave up 6 hits and walked 1 over 5 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Toronto, having won 11 in a row, is now 83-73.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Hyo-jong Yang? The Toronto designated hitter had a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Blue Jays on top, 2-1. For the game, Yang had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
Toronto manager John Schneider was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard, they played all the way through," he said.
