The Cincinnati Reds picked up a win at Great American Ball Park, taking down the New York Yankees, 9-3. Starting pitcher Jack Flaherty was a big reason why. New York now owns a losing streak of 5 games.

The Reds got a big hit from first baseman Elly De La Cruz. Facing New York pitcher Jalen Beeks in the bottom of the sixth, De La Cruz pounded a bases-clearing double to right-center. His 7th double of the season put the Reds ahead, 7-3.

"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Flaherty.
