Walker Earns Praise as Pirates Topple Brewers, 9-5
Pittsburgh right fielder Jordan Walker helped his team beat the Milwaukee Brewers, 9-5. Walker, who finished 4th in the NL in hits with 167 in 2026, went 3 for 4 for the Pirates. Pittsburgh reliever Kyle Nicolas was the winner. His record is now 3-0. Trevor Megill took the loss. Pittsburgh has now won 3 in a row.

With Pittsburgh leading 2-0 in the top of the second, Walker hit a 2-run single off Milwaukee hurler Jaron DeBerry. It was the 41st hit of the season for Walker and put his team ahead, 4-0.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Pittsburgh manager Riley Pint.
