Game 5 was big. So was Reid Foster.

The Wildwood starter rose to the occasion at Letterkenny Memorial Ballpark, leading the Fishers to a crucial 3-2 victory over the Letterkenny Shamrocks. Foster threw 7.2 innings of 3-hit ball as the Fishers won on the road to seize a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 Walt Partlo Memorial Cup.

Wildwood starter Reid Foster was exceptional. The 6-foot-2 right-hander allowed 2 runs on 3 hits over 7.2 innings of work.

Wildwood manager Scott Smith commended his team for delivering "maximum effort."

Game 6 is scheduled for Friday at Carp Coliseum in Wildwood.
