Iowa City and Ypsi put this game in the books despite some rain.

The Iowa City Stalkers topped the Ypsi Yard Cats, 4-2, in 10 innings at The Animal Shelter. The game was highlighted by the performance of Iowa City pitcher Kris Abrams. The win belonged to Don Newcombe in relief. His record improves to 8-9. Aydan Farmer took the loss for Ypsi.

Stanley Byers came through with a big-time hit for Iowa City. The center fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 4-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Kris had good stuff. When he did get into a compromising count, he made the most of it," said Iowa City manager Mark Sands.

Iowa City, at 65-97, occupies 8th place in the To The Wall Baseball Patriotic League.
