In a low-scoring game between Wildwood and Letterkenny, Félix Soto was fantastic. The Fishers right-hander, who is on pace for 251 strikeouts this season, helped his team beat the Shamrocks, 2-1, in 10 innings. Ronald Dempsey, now 4-5, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. The Fishers have an impressive 103-58 record.

The Fishers got a clutch hit from second baseman Eugene Kent. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Fishers.

"I think every team will tell you that the pitching sets the tone, especially the starters," said Wildwood skipper Scott Smith.
