Fernando Bernal was superb against Newcastle. The right-hander, who is tied for 7th in the TTWB in complete games with 2, had a fastball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Drifters victory. The score was 6-4. The win hiked the Dam Site record to 95-66.

Alfonso Ledesma had a big 2-run double for the Drifters in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Dam Site leading 2-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from 31-year old left-handed pitcher Patrick Boucher and swatted a double to center. It was his 7th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Drifters ahead, 4-0.

"Glad to go home with a win," said Ledesma.
