Boomsticks Take Home 3-0 Win Over Phoenix
Leonardo Cervantes pitched a gem to lead Asheville to victory over the Phoenix Downs, 3-0. Picking up the save was Roderick Kinnear. He's now 48 for 56 in save chances. The Boomsticks win now puts them at 81-79.

Reid McBride, who finished 2nd in the TTWB in home runs with 39 last year, had a direct impact on the outcome. McBride contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put Asheville up, 1-0.

"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," McBride told the Asheville Herald. "Whatever it takes."
