Mud Hens designated hitter Sozui Tsuruta put his stamp on his team's 6-4 win over the B.C. Brawlers. Tsuruta was 2 for 5 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Great Black Swamp in the contest. The winning pitcher was David Nicholas. He's now 10-14. He went 6 innings, allowing 4 runs on 9 hits for the Mud Hens. Great Black Swamp, with the win, climbs to 48-111.

Ronald Johnson dealt the Brawlers a blow in the top of the seventh. Batting with the bases loaded and Great Black Swamp leading 5-4, Johnson hit a 1-2 fastball for a run-scoring single.

"The fans pay the tickets and help us do what we do, so we like to put on a show for them," Tsuruta told the Great Black Swamp Daily News.
