Great Black Swamp Gets 5-2 Road Win
|
Great Black Swamp pitcher Suketsune Kimura did his part in helping his team beat the Newcastle House of Brews, 5-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The Mud Hens sport a record of 63-96.
Great Black Swamp used a well-timed hit by Jeremy Bennett to capture the win. The second baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Mud Hens ahead, 4-2. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"I'm happy we won," said Kimura. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
