The Indianapolis Indians could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Sam Rodríguez into a win. Instead, the Dam Site Drifters prevailed, 3-2. Rodríguez threw 6.2 innings of shutout ball. The win was credited to Jonathan Short in relief. His record improves to 8-5. Billy Wagner took the loss. The win gives Dam Site a season record of 92-65.
Andrew Hahn came through with a big-time hit for Dam Site. The pinch hitter smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
Hahn said he was "thrilled" the fans had something to get excited about.
