The Nashville Nightmare had to overcome a big game from Iowa City right fielder Derek Reid to leave Flaming Ashes Ballpark with a victory. And they did, winning, 7-6. Reid went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Rube Foster claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. His record stands at 2-5. Jesús Pérez got the save, his 19th in 24 chances.

António Morales, who finished 4th in the TTWB in extra base hits with 75 in 2064, helped out the Nashville cause in the bottom of the seventh inning with a run-scoring ground out. For the game, the first baseman was 1-4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 3.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Nashville manager Matt Tomczak.
