The Ludington LumberJacks picked up a win at Husqvarna Field, topping the Dam Site Drifters, 4-2. On the mound for Ludington was left-hander Shimei Masuda. He played a principal role in the triumph. Andy Durán got the save, the 10th for him this season. The LumberJacks now own a record of 73-78.

The LumberJacks got a big at-bat from shortstop Carlos González. For the game, González went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 20th home run of the season gave Ludington a 4-2 lead.

"The effort we put into this one paid off," González said.
