The Wicker Park Devil Cats knocked off the B.C. Brawlers, 7-3, in To The Wall Baseball action at Devil Cat Park. Wicker Park pitcher and Massapequa, New York, native Jim Smart had an outstanding performance. Wicker Park is now 90-60, while B.C. is 73-77.

The Devil Cats got a big at-bat from shortstop Patrick Johnston. For the game, Johnston went 2 for 5 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 20th double of the season gave Wicker Park a 2-0 lead.

Johnston told a local reporter: "My job is to go out and play as hard as I can."
