House of Brews Eke Out 2-1 Win Versus Ypsi
|
Brewhouse hosted an old-fashioned pitchers' duel.
Newcastle House of Brews starter Nick Robertson hurled his team past the Ypsi Yard Cats, 2-1. Robertson yielded 1 run over 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 9-10. Getting the save was Steve Williams, his 2nd.
Making an impact for the home team was Sean Walden. In the bottom of the second, the 26-year old third baseman had a run-scoring ground out. That made the score 2-0, House of Brews.
"Nice to get this one," said Walden. "We've been scuffling."
The victory puts Newcastle at 44-91.
