Goode Pitches Indians to Shutout Victory
The Indianapolis Indians shut out the Newcastle House of Brews 2-0 today behind the strong pitching of George Goode. Goode surrendered only 6 hits in recording the complete-game victory, and struck out 7.

Following the last out, Goode appeared to celebrate a little too boisterously for Newcastle manager Paul Collins, who could be seen scolding the famously outspoken left-hander as the clubs left the field. Goode's own manager then intervened with some words for his counterpart.

The House of Brews skipper would not comment on the exchange, but at the Indians press conference, Goode confirmed that it was regarding the celebration.

"He basically told me I was being a lousy winner," Goode said.

"And I told him he was being a lousy loser," Indianapolis manager Mike Leslie added.

In 21 starts this year Goode has recorded a 12-4 record and a 3.44 ERA.
