Indianapolis third baseman Emory Gill had a 3-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Newcastle House of Brews, 6-1. Indianapolis pitcher Javier Cruz got the win. He's now 3-6. Sylvester Riddle was tagged with the loss. The Indians now own a record of 63-66.

Indianapolis took a 4-0 lead on Gill's 6th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Sylvester Riddle in the top of the sixth, propelled Indianapolis to the win.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Gill. "You've got to get results."
