The 7-5 Madrid win over Great Black Swamp was due in large part to Andrew Ortíz. The Jabalies first baseman went 2-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. José Ramos earned his 25th save in 28 chances. The win elevated the Jabalies to 71-57.

Madrid used the hitting of Simon Clay to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Jabalies on top, 6-5. For the game, Clay had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
