Red Birds Fall Short, 8-7, at Wildwood
Wildwood left fielder Ken Griffey, Jr contributed to his team's 8-7 win over the Columbus Red Birds. Griffey, Jr went 1 for 1 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Fishers. Wiley Terry was credited with the save, his 40th in 45 tries. With the win, Wildwood pushed its record to 74-49.

Griffey, Jr had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 0-1 curveball from Gordon Steward, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Fishers a 8-7 lead. It was the 15th home run of the year for Griffey, Jr.

"The guys seem happy with the win. That's good, I guess," said Griffey, Jr.
