Yard Cats Need Extra Frames to Get Past Hitmakers
The Ypsi Yard Cats faced a tough opponent in Motown pitcher Ji-chor Yi, but still scratched out a win at The Upper Deck by a final score of 6-4 in 15 innings. Yi went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. Ypsi reliever Sean Bigelow picked up the win, upping his record to 6-3. Jesús Martínez was saddled with the loss. Fred Hinegarden was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 1 of 1 save opportunities.

The game was at a stalemate until shortstop Michael Cameron came to bat in the top of the 15th. Facing Motown pitcher Steve Lee, he hit a 0-1 splitter for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Ypsi on top, 3-1.
