Streaking Boomsticks Win Another One, 8-1
Asheville designated hitter António Morales helped his team beat the Great Black Swamp Mud Hens, 8-1. Morales, who finished 3rd in the TTWB in runs with 94 in 2064, went 1 for 3 for the Boomsticks. Dan Reid claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3.1 innings. His record stands at 1-0. The Boomsticks, now 65-49, have won 14 in a row.

With Asheville leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Morales hit a fastball from Pete Hoover for a bases-clearing double. It was his 34th double of the season and put the Boomsticks ahead, 4-0.

"The guys are feeling pretty good about where they're at right now," said Boomsticks manager Jon Papp. "We have a lot of guys playing with confidence."
