Ludington right fielder Joseph Bagg had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Bagg hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3, even as Texas beat the LumberJacks, 5-4. Shigematsu Kokawa, the winner, improved to 6-9. He held the LumberJacks to 3 runs on 6 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 4. Fernando Méndez picked up the save, his 36th.

Jorge Torres contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the sixth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a double. His at-bat helped Texas get the win.

"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Torres told the Texas News. "Whatever it takes."

The Renegades now have a record of 54-59.
