The home crowd had a good time watching the Indianapolis Indians and Nashville Nightmare get after it.

Starting pitcher Jesús Pérez gave the Nashville Nightmare a rock-solid effort. The Havana, Cuba native helped his team defeat the Indianapolis Indians, 3-1, at Flaming Ashes Ballpark. The winner was Pérez. He threw 8.0 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was José Gutiérrez.

The game could have flipped with no one out in the top of the eighth. But Jesús Pérez made what his manager later called "an A-plus pitch." With runners on 1st and 3rd and Indianapolis trailing 3-1, Pérez threw a slider to John Ritchie, who hit into a double play.

Nashville occupies 6th place in the To The Wall Baseball Nationalist League at 57-56.
