Phoenix Downs starter Nick Cox led his team to victory over the B.C. Brawlers, 6-2. The right-hander was locked-in. Cox yielded 2 runs over 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 10-5. Picking up the save was Vicente Vargas. He's now 17 for 18 in save chances.

Phoenix used a clutch at-bat from Manny Gallegos to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Downs ahead, 5-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
