McElroy Unhittable in Perfect Game
Fans at Devil Cat Park were the lucky witnesses to a feat so rare, so spectacular, that it is certain to go down in the annals of league history. Wicker Park Devil Cats starter pitched nine unblemished innings for a perfect game against the Motown Hitmakers.

The Wicker Park hurler struck out 8 and walked none while making history, defeating Motown, 3-0. He sat down 27 batters in order.

After a game like that, McElroy would have been forgiven for going a little wild, but the 30-year-old was the picture of calm as he sat with reporters after the game.

"I'm thrilled," he said. "This is a dream come true."

So far this season, McElroy has a 8-9 record, 20 starts, 142.2 innings, 96 strikeouts and a 3.34 ERA.
