Fans watched the Ypsi Yard Cats and the Great Black Swamp Mud Hens fight to the finish.

Ypsi starter Hendrikjan Meijer pitched well against the Great Black Swamp Mud Hens at The Animal Shelter. The left-hander led his team to a win, 2-1. The winner was Meijer. He threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Mal Boles. Dan LeBlanc, credited with the save, is now 5 for 6 in save opportunities.

Joel Milman had a critical at-bat with two out in the bottom of the sixth for Ypsi. He came through with a run-scoring single to put Ypsi in front, 2-0.

"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Milman.

The win puts Ypsi at 57-37 this season.
