Columbus Red Birds starter Alfredo Romano kept the Texas Renegades hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 7-2 win. Eugenio Solís earned the save, his 18th in 21 tries. Columbus is now 61-32, while Texas is 46-46.

The Red Birds got a big at-bat from center fielder Ju-wei Miao. For the game, Miao was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 12th home run of the season gave Columbus a 2-0 lead.

"I just tried to focus on getting that first guy out every inning," said Romano.
