With 2-0 Win, Yard Cats Improve to 45-31
Johnny Moore pitched well, but his team, the Columbus Red Birds, still dropped a 2-0 decision to the Ypsi Yard Cats at The Animal Shelter. The win went to Colby Ewing in relief. His record improves to 2-2. Johnny Moore took the loss. The triumph puts Ypsi at 45-31 for the season.

The Yard Cats got a big at-bat from left fielder Toyoharu Yamauchi. For the game, Yamauchi went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 10th home run of the season gave Ypsi a 2-0 lead.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Yamauchi, "and then get after it again."
