Indians Lose, 4-2, as Downs Rally
Phoenix picked up a win at Victory Field, bumping off the Indianapolis Indians, 4-2. Pitcher Jesús Mena was a major reason the Downs emerged victorious. Phoenix reliever Jesús Mena got the win, raising his record to 6-1. Newton Abraham was tagged with the loss. José Martínez closed out the game, earning his 15th save.

Rob Mitchum came through with a big-time hit for Phoenix. The designated hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

Mitchum called the win a testament to his team's "tenacity."
