Mud Hens Zip Past Jabalies, 7-1

Madrid had no answer for 27-year old right-handed pitcher Suketsune Kimura. The Great Black Swamp Mud Hens starter stymied Jabalies hitters, helping the Mud Hens cruise to victory, 7-1. Dorian Sears closed the door for Great Black Swamp, picking up his 1st save of the year. After today's action, Great Black Swamp sits at 28-41, while Madrid falls to 36-34.
Iwao Ito had a big 3-run home run for the Mud Hens in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Great Black Swamp leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from Vinnie Stennings, who is tied for 4th in the TTWB in wins with 8, and swatted a home run to right. It was his 5th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Mud Hens ahead, 5-0.
"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said Ito.
