Motown Beaten, 4-3, by Dam Site in 12
|
The Dam Site Drifters snuck past the Motown Hitmakers, 4-3, in 12 innings. Dam Site third baseman Jerry Bustard, in particular, had a standout performance. The Drifters, at 38-23, lead by one game in their division.
The decisive blow was delivered by Fred Parker in the bottom of the 12th when he hit a run-scoring double off 16-year veteran Newton Abraham to win the game for Dam Site. The home crowd went nuts.
In postgame remarks, Parker said: "I'm proud of our guys, of their fight."
