Starting pitcher Sean Bigelow gave the Ypsi Yard Cats a rock-solid performance, helping his team defeat the Newcastle House of Brews, 3-2, at The Animal Shelter. Billy Wagner earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. His record is now 4-5. This loss makes it 6 in a row for Newcastle.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Ypsi catcher Xiao-gang Jong, facing Jimmy Snuka, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Yard Cats the 3-2 win.

"Sean throwing strikes, pounding the zone, that is exactly what you want to see," said Ypsi manager Patrick Holt.
