Good production from designated hitter Walt Partlo helped the Dam Site Drifters topple the Grand Rapids Growlers, 7-5. Partlo went 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Drifters. Carlos Santos, now 4-2, was credited with the win in 1.1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 2 and walking 0. Steve Avery got the save, the 9th for him this season.

Partlo had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 1-2 fastball from Kevin Adams, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Drifters a 7-5 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Partlo.

"We ground out the win," said Partlo. "That's all that matters."

With the win, Dam Site raised its record to 36-22.
