Clay Deals Letterkenny 3-2 Setback
|
In a low-scoring contest between the Ypsi Yard Cats and the Letterkenny Shamrocks, Aaron Clay was the X factor. The Ypsi right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Aydan Farmer locked down his 16th save. At 31-27, the Yard Cats find themselves in 4th place in the To The Wall Baseball Nationalist League.
Clay tossed 96 pitches over 7 innings to clinch the win for the Yard Cats. The right-hander allowed just 2 hits, while racking up 8 strikeouts in the game.
"Aaron's not intimidated by who's stepping into the batter's box," said Ypsi manager Patrick Holt.
