Ludington beat Dam Site at Superior Stadium, eking out a 6-5 win. The win was due in large part to first baseman Alex Mortimer. He went 2-5 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Kirk Copeland earned the save for Ludington, his 2nd. Ludington is in 7th place in the To The Wall Baseball Patriotic League with a record of 25-31.

With Ludington trailing 2-0 in the top of the third, Mortimer hit a fastball from Rick Rude for a 3-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the LumberJacks ahead, 3-2.

"When the ball finds the sweet spot," said Mortimer, "I can't complain."
