Dam Site turned a good performance from starting pitcher Gustavo Gómez into a 5-2 triumph over the Great Black Swamp Mud Hens at Moses Fleetwood Walker Stadium. Steve Avery locked down his 7th save. Dam Site currently is in first place in the To The Wall Baseball Nationalist League at 34-21.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Ezio Galante? The Dam Site center fielder had a 2-run single in the top of the first inning to put the Drifters on top, 2-0. For the game, Galante had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Anything I can do to help the team win," said Galante.
