Nightmare Suffer 3-1 Loss to House of Brews
|
Freddy Harris, who is a two-time All-Star, pitched well, but the Nashville Nightmare still fell short, losing, 3-1, to the Newcastle House of Brews at Brewhouse. Newcastle reliever Jim Love picked up the win, raising his record to 6-1. Freddy Harris was tagged with the loss. Jimmy Snuka recorded the save for Newcastle, his 7th of the season.
Kelly Sullivan had a big 2-run home run for the House of Brews in the bottom of the second inning. With Newcastle leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a changeup from Freddy Harris, who is a two-time All-Star, and punished it. The result was his 5th home run of the season, which put the House of Brews on top, 3-0.
"We've got great fans," said Sullivan. "I hope they got what they came for."
With the win over Nashville, the House of Brews improved to 24-26.
