The Columbus Red Birds picked up a win at Moses Fleetwood Walker Stadium, knocking off the Great Black Swamp Mud Hens, 6-2. On the mound for Columbus was right-hander Rusty Collier, who played a pivotal role in the win. The winning streak has now reached 6 games for the Red Birds.

Columbus needed the clutch hitting of Alan Bentley to notch the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Red Birds on top, 6-2. For the game, Bentley had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
