Deleón Plays Big Role in Asheville Win
|
In a low-scoring clash between Asheville and Ludington, pitcher Jesús Deleón was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned accolades in the 3-0 win. Arturo Rodríguez closed the game out for Asheville, earning his 11th save. Asheville, at 22-16, holds down third place in the To The Wall Baseball Patriotic League.
Deleón imposed his will on the LumberJacks, scattering 3 hits over 7.1 innings while striking out 10. The right-hander upped his season record to 4-3.
"We had a good game plan," Deleón said, "and we were able to execute it."
