Stephen Thomas, who finished 2nd in the TTWB in ERA with 1.71 last year, propelled his team to victory over the Ypsi Yard Cats. The final score was 3-1, Wicker Park. The Devil Cats raised their record to 12-24.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Devil Cats had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fifth, when center fielder Yu-eh Guang hit a 2-run single. The single came off José Rivas and made the score 3-1, Devil Cats.
