Boomsticks Suffer 6-4 Home Defeat
The B.C. Brawlers took Asheville pitcher Rafael García's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Smasheville. The final score had B.C. getting past the Boomsticks, 6-4. García went 6 innings and allowed 5 runs, striking out 10. Pete Reynolds earned the save, his 5th, for the Brawlers. The Brawlers sport a record of 11-24.

B.C. used the hitting of PA Blaylock to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Brawlers on top, 3-2. For the game, Blaylock had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"It feels good to get this one," Blaylock told the B.C. Gazette.
