Sumio Masuda, who is tied for 9th in the TTWB with a 0.86 WHIP, was locked in. The right-hander led the Reykjavik Phoenix to a 3-0 win against the Great Black Swamp Mud Hens at Moses Fleetwood Walker Stadium. John Franco recorded his 15th save for Reykjavik. The Mud Hens, now 16-18, have lost 5 straight.

Reykjavik starter Sumio Masuda showed the eye of a tiger. The right-hander allowed no runs, while limiting Great Black Swamp to 3 hits over 8 innings. He was tough to hit.

"It's about putting our team in the best position to win ballgames," said Masuda.
