Hitmakers Rally Late to Nip Mud Hens
|
The Motown Hitmakers topped the Great Black Swamp Mud Hens, 4-3, in To The Wall Baseball action at Moses Fleetwood Walker Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Motown pitcher and Joliette, Canada, native Woodrow Preston. The save went to Newton Abraham, his 4th this season. The win puts Motown at 14-21.
Mickey Cochrane, who is a four-time All-Star, had a direct impact on the outcome. Cochrane contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the eighth inning to put Motown up, 4-3.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Preston said.
