LumberJacks Best Fishers in Pitching Duel
The Wildwood Fishers and Ludington LumberJacks provided some drama for the home crowd.

In a low-scoring game between Ludington and Wildwood, pitcher Jayson Faulkner was excellent. The Ludington right-hander helped his team knock off the Fishers, 2-1. Faulkner yielded no runs over 5 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 0, and struck out 5. His record improves to 3-3. The save was credited to Chip Johnston, his 4th.

Early in the game, second baseman Brendan McGugan had a 2-run double for Ludington. It was his 10th double of the season and put the LumberJacks on top, 2-0.

"The old adage is true," said Faulkner. "Good pitching stops good hitting."

With the win, Ludington goes to 14-15.
