Mud Hens Go 10 Innings to Beat Reykjavik, 6-3
The Great Black Swamp Mud Hens downed the Reykjavik Phoenix, 6-3, in 10 innings at Flaming Ashes Ballpark. The Mud Hens were led by Claudio Saucedo. Saucedo went 4-5 with a triple and 3 singles, while adding 5 RBI. Great Black Swamp reliever Newton Cotton picked up the win, upping his record to 3-2. John Franco took the loss. Enrique Figueroa sewed up the save, his 5th.

Saucedo had a game-changing triple in the top of the tenth. On a first pitch fastball from John Franco, he banged a bases-clearing triple to center, giving the Mud Hens a 6-3 lead. It was the 1st triple of the year for Saucedo.

"There's no quit in this team," said Mud Hens manager Casimir Koralewski.

The win moves Great Black Swamp to a record of 10-18.
