Fans watched the Wicker Park Devil Cats and the Newcastle House of Brews fight to the finish.

The Newcastle House of Brews got a superb performance from designated hitter Pat Gimínez, but the Wicker Park Devil Cats still won the game, 4-3. Gimínez threw 6.1 innings allowing 2 runs. The win was credited to 37-year old right-handed pitcher Joe Bell in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Gordon Steward took the loss.

Wicker Park took a 4-3 lead on Ramón Rocha's 6th triple of the season. The 2-run triple, which Rocha hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Newcastle pitcher Gordon Steward visibly frustrated.

"I'm proud to wear a Wicker Park jersey," Rocha told the Wicker Park Daily News. "We played a good game and came out with the win. What more can you ask for?"

The loss drops Newcastle to 14-12.
