House of Brews Get Extra-Inning, 4-3 Win
Newcastle starter Patrick Boucher pitched well against the Grand Rapids Growlers at Brewhouse. The left-hander led his team to a win, 4-3, in 13 innings. The Growlers fall to 8-17 and continue to sputter in the early going.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the 13th for Newcastle. That's when Stanley Byers hit a run-scoring double off former first round draft pick Pat Jordan to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"I'm happy we won," said Boucher. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
