Indianapolis Bats Quiet in 7-1 Loss
Xiao-yong Lum, who is tied for 7th in the TTWB in quality starts with 4, was terrific for the B.C. Brawlers in his team's 7-1 triumph over the Indianapolis Indians. His performance earned Lum rave reviews. Lum got the win, improving to 2-2. He gave up 4 hits and walked 1 over 8 innings. He allowed 1 run. "Lousy" describes the Indianapolis performance in the early going.

The Brawlers got a big at-bat from shortstop Michael Moody. For the game, Moody went 2-4 with 2 doubles, while adding 3 RBI. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 4th double of the season gave B.C. a 2-0 lead.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said B.C. manager Stephen West.
